Now Is the Time: Calling Evangelists to Rise Up in a Weakened World

The harvest is ripe. The fields are white. Yet where are the laborers?
Current Status: The church's witness has been compromised. Recent events have exposed fundamental weaknesses in our approach to reaching the lost.
The Great Commission Remains
"And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." - Mark 16:15
This command has not been revoked. It has not been amended. It has not been postponed due to current circumstances.
The Facts:
• Church attendance declining nationwide
• Cultural hostility increasing
• Christian influence diminishing in public spaces
• Believers retreating into comfort zones
But this is exactly when evangelists must emerge.
Why Now Is the Critical Moment
The world is broken. Nations are shaking. People are desperate for answers.
"The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest." - Matthew 9:37-38
Current Global Conditions:
• Economic uncertainty creating spiritual hunger
• Political division leaving people searching for truth
• Mental health crisis reaching epidemic levels
• Traditional institutions losing credibility
These are not obstacles. These are open doors.
The Evangelist's Hour
God has always used crisis to reveal His power. When human systems fail, people look beyond themselves.
"But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." - Acts 1:8
What This Requires:
• Bold proclamation of the Gospel
• Supernatural demonstration of God's power
• Compassionate engagement with broken humanity
• Unwavering faith in Christ's authority
The church has become comfortable. Comfortable churches do not evangelize effectively.

Breaking Free From Weakness
The church's weakened witness stems from specific failures:
Compromise: Diluting biblical truth to avoid offense
Comfort: Prioritizing ease over effectiveness
Control: Relying on human methods instead of God's power
Complacency: Accepting decline as inevitable
"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek." - Romans 1:16
This power has not diminished. Our confidence in it has.
The Supernatural Edge
True evangelism operates in supernatural dimensions. Signs, wonders, and miraculous demonstrations accompany genuine Gospel preaching.
"And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following." - Mark 16:20
Modern evangelism lacks:
• Expectation of divine intervention
• Reliance on Holy Spirit power
• Demonstration of God's love through miracles
• Prophetic insight into people's needs
The world is tired of programs. It needs power.

Practical Steps for Rising Evangelists
Step 1: Personal Revival
Fast and pray until fire falls on your own life. Dead messengers cannot deliver life-giving messages.
Step 2: Scripture Immersion
"So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." - Romans 10:17
Know the Word. Live the Word. Speak the Word with authority.
Step 3: Divine Encounters
Position yourself where lost people gather. Ask God for divine appointments daily.
Step 4: Supernatural Expectation
"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father." - John 14:12
Expect God to confirm His word through you.
The Urgency Factor
Time is running out. Jesus said, "I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work." - John 9:4
Current indicators suggest:
• Increasing resistance to Gospel message
• Legal restrictions on religious expression expanding
• Cultural shift accelerating away from biblical values
• Window of opportunity narrowing
This is not fear-mongering. This is reality assessment for strategic action.

The greatest hindrance to evangelism often comes from within the church itself.
Common obstacles:
• Fear of rejection
• Lack of training
• Institutional protocols
• Comfort zone maintenance
"But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye. For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard." - Acts 4:19-20
Evangelists must be willing to break free from religious constraints when they hinder Gospel advancement.
The Heart of an Evangelist
"The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise." - Proverbs 11:30
Essential qualities:
• Compassion: Genuine love for lost humanity
• Courage: Willingness to face opposition
• Conviction: Unshakeable belief in Gospel truth
• Commitment: Long-term dedication to the harvest
These cannot be taught in seminars. They must be forged in prayer and developed through experience.
Your Response Determines Destiny
God is calling evangelists to emerge from hiding. The world's weakness creates evangelistic strength.
"And how shall they hear without a preacher?" - Romans 10:14
Every day you delay is another day souls remain in darkness.
